Sadly our friend, Chef Gerry Hayden lost his battle with ALS on Wednesday, September 2, 2015. He was 50 years young.
A Love Shared is a community of friends who came together to raise awareness about ALS, the brutal disease that Gerry was diagnosed with in 2011, and to support Gerry's immense health care expenses.
Gerry lived his final years with a passion for life and a determination to advocate and educate all about the research needed to combat ALS. Gerry was also outspoken about the need to create a support system for victims and families struggling to live with ALS.
Gerry is no longer with us but the need to help continues.
If you'd like to honor Gerry these are the organizations that Gerry believed were fighting the good fight against ALS. Your donation to A Love Shared will keep Gerry's memory alive by helping to support the groups he thought did the best work on the front lines of ALS and to help cover his end of life expenses.
